DofE Y10 training session 1

In preparation for your child’s DofE expedition next term, a series of training sessions have been organised to teach basic principles and to fully introduce your child to proper use of expedition equipment.

These training sessions are due to take place directly after the end of the school day, from 3.45-5.15pm on the following dates:

Thursday 19th May: Introduction to Expedition, Navigation & Principles of Basic Map Reading

Thursday 16th June: Nutrition & Outdoor Food Preparation

Thursday 24th June: Equipment, Packing Your Bag & Pitching Your Tent.

We ask that students attend all three sessions provided as they will be vital to ensuring that a safe and enjoyable expedition will be experienced by all. Two additional catch-up sessions have been planned for those who are unable to attend on their assigned dates and we ask that if this is the case, that they should instead ensure they are available for the following:

Friday 10th June: Catch-up Session #1

Friday 17th June: Catch-up Session #2
