First day of Spring!

First day of Spring! Junior Gardening Club (Prep III to VI) have been braving the rain over the last couple of days to help brighten up the school grounds in readiness for the warmer weather.
The club have already gained their Royal Horticultural Society Level 1 Schools Gardening Award and are currently working towards Level 2. They have three raised beds – which are currently being ‘warmed’ ready for the Spring planting extravaganza – and are using the warmth and wide window sills of the library to cultivate their seeds and cuttings.
They have also begun to help plant some of the beds around the school – you may have noticed the wild flower garden that has been planted near the side entrance into school! Further plans are afoot to transform other beds around the school.
