Passing on practical skills

It is often argued that many young people today don’t have a grasp of practical maintenance skills which used to be prevalent in previous generations. Our Prep children have been queuing up to join the new lunchtime club, with our maintenance staff keen to pass on some of their skills and tips to a younger generation. Tiling techniques were demonstrated this week after the success of the ‘wiring a plug’ class last week. Overalls definitely needed for next week as painting techniques are on the curriculum! Might be interesting to read some children’s ‘letters to Santa’ this year in terms of their Christmas present requests!!!
