Our Development Programme

In 1950, a group of parents wanted to find an alternative to the schools in the area, believing that every child deserved access to the best education possible. Out of this shared vision, Bridgewater School was born.

Today, seventy five years later, this aspiration remains at the heart of everything we do.

Thinking ahead, to help our students to get ahead

At Bridgewater School, we combine a rich tradition of academic excellence with a forward-thinking approach, ensuring that every student flourishes, both in and beyond the classroom. Our pupils benefit from outstanding teaching standards, an inspiring curriculum and an array of enrichment opportunities designed to nurture their passions and talents.

To enhance this experience, ongoing investment in our buildings and facilities has included the development of our Drama Studio, Sports Complex, Prep Library, dedicated Early Years unit, and bespoke sensory areas. Our commitment to outdoor learning is reflected in our dynamic outdoor spaces, featuring a 3G all-weather pitch, adventure play area, outdoor gym equipment, and a specially curated space for the recently launched Bridgewater Forest School initiative.

We are committed to a programme of continuous development and improvement, dedicated to offering facilities and opportunities that enhance and enrich the experience of every child, and the school governors, staff and pupils all share a real sense of excitement about both our recent accomplishments and Bridgewater’s future.
