Aneeq Ahmed

Aneeq Ahmed, Class of 2020.

Currently studying Medicine at the University of Sheffield. Former Head Boy, President of the Bridgewater Science Society and co-founder of the Medics Society, Aneeq joined Bridgewater in 2015 and left in the summer of 2020 with three A-levels in Biology (A), Chemistry (A) and English Literature (A).

“My name is Aneeq and I am a first year medical student at the University of Sheffield, having completed my A-levels at Bridgewater School. I decided to stay on for Sixth Form studies after my GCSEs due to the small class sizes and the supportive and inclusive atmosphere that it offers. You get to know your teachers and they get to know you, understanding how you work, so that throughout the course you are constantly provided with feedback on everything that you do and maximising the opportunity to achieve the best grades possible.

The help with my university application that I received was pivotal. You are given so much support with things such as personal statements, interview preparation and references. It is a level of support that you just wouldn’t get at a larger Sixth Form.”

At Bridgewater you are given a level of support that you just wouldn't get at a larger Sixth Form.
