Kate Purchase

Kate Purchase, Class of 2018.

Currently studying Marine Biology and Oceanography at Bangor University, where she is Chair of the Endeavour Society and member of the Photographic Society. Former Head Girl of Bridgewater School, Kate is interested in following a career in animal protection and recording them on camera, most likely in conservation.

“The school offers high quality education, with one-to-one support when you need it. A huge benefit to going to Bridgewater is its size. Although it is small, it allows teachers to know and work with students individually as well as encouraging a family environment. Teachers are always willing to help with academic and non-academic issues. There is also a wide range of clubs and activities available to all students, from sports to quizzes and computer coding. This allows students to explore any interests that they may have outside of their academic interests.

I am now entering my third year at Bangor University, hoping to get a job within this field and I know that I would now be where I am now without Bridgewater School and its staff. With infinite help from the staff, specifically in the Sixth Form, I received an unconditional offer for my dream course at one of the best universities for Marine Science in the UK. Sixth Form provided me with the tools required to get to university and to thrive here.”

I know that I would not be where I am now without Bridgewater School and its staff.
