Mia Fraser

Mia Fraser, Class of 2022.

Currently completing a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Environmental Science and Management with innovative global engineering group Jacobs. Mia, a passionate environmentalist and conservationist who volunteers at The Wildlife Trust and completed an Ecology internship with Operation Wallacea, joined Bridgewater in 2015 and went on to create the position of Environmental Officer within the Sixth Form Leadership Team before leaving with three A-levels in English Language (A*), Geography (C) and Biology (C).

“What an opportunity I have had! I feel so grateful to have been a part of the Bridgewater School community for seven years. As a result of the utmost dedication from my teachers and staff at Bridgewater, I have been able to achieve all the goals I had set for myself. My teachers have continuously inspired me, encouraged my passions and pushed me to reach my potential. Due to this support, I have been able to secure an Environmental Science and Management Degree Apprenticeship and my future with an incredible worldwide business, offering amazing opportunities for my career development.

Bridgewater was not only by my side to guide me with my academic targets, but also helped me to grow as an individual. I came to Bridgewater in Year 7 as a shy student, but left in Year 13 feeling confident within myself, my abilities and my passions. Being given the freedom to create my own Environmental Officer role within the Leadership Team enabled me to have a voice to express any ideas relating to my passion for the environment, whilst also providing practical experience that I could demonstrate on my CV for my future. I think that’s what makes Bridgewater so exceptional; they are not only focused on your school achievements, but on your future beyond Bridgewater.

Although I am sad to have left Bridgewater, I know that my journey here will never end. I have been equipped with all the tools I need to take the next step towards starting my career. I will come back to visit, like many students do – and if that is not a sign of what Bridgewater means to us all, I don’t know what is!

Thank you Bridgewater for a truly remarkable education.”

They are not only focused on your school achievements, but on your future beyond Bridgewater.
