Seniors & Sixth

Bridgewater Parent – Senior School, Year 7

“Our experience of the senior department so far has been excellent, with motivated and inspiring staff, bright, modern classrooms overlooking the fields and woods, and well equipped for purpose science labs, IT, DT and art rooms. All the teaching and classroom resources are there to enable high achievements in A-level and GCSE exams. The difference with Bridgewater is that the school enables a broader spectrum of children to achieve their best and develop holistically, and like a family, supports them whatever difficulties they may encounter in their school journey. The pastoral care and support within the school is exceptional in our experience.

Lastly, should it be needed again, the provision of remote learning and support during COVID has been excellent.”

Bridgewater Student – Senior School, Year 8

“I just wanted to say that this school is amazing and I am so happy I go here. I wake up every school day excited to come to school. Every teacher is so nice and no one is mean. Learning is better when taught here and I just wanted to show you my gratitude.”

Bridgewater Alumni – Senior School & Sixth Form

“The community and bonds between students and teachers alike made for a great learning environment. The teachers and small class sizes both at GCSE and A-level made a usually difficult time enjoyable. The life skills I was given have been carried into university life and beyond. As a student who used to suffer from the difficulties of Dyslexia, I had trouble adapting to academic tasks. However, the staff and students made me see there is nothing holding me back from pursuing an academic future and I will always be grateful to Bridgewater for the support and opportunities I received.”

Bridgewater Student – Senior School, Year 11

“I think it is fair to say that Bridgewater has definitely been the right school for me. Since joining, my life has completely changed. I have become so much more motivated to push myself and I am starting to see it pay off. The mindset I have learnt will help carry me through life and help me achieve what I want. Not only has Bridgewater helped me to achieve academically, but I have also made some great friends and met people I will never forget. Thank you for giving me such an amazing opportunity.”

Bridgewater Student – Senior School & Sixth Form

“I have come to realise over the years just how rare it is to find a school and community like Bridgewater. One so open and welcoming and whose staff never fails to extend help or kindness. The numerous and wonderful experiences I have had here mean so much to me, not only because of the special memories created, friendships made and lessons learnt (both in and outside the classroom), but because I know I would not be where I am today without the security, care and encouragement I have received from both inspiring teachers and headteacher alike. Thank you for bringing me out of my shell and helping me achieve what I once believed impossible. For always putting students first, for going above and beyond to help us become the best versions of ourselves, and for the countless opportunities to help me push my limit, give me confidence and help me feel proud of myself.”

Bridgewater Parent – Senior School, Year 9

“The skills, learning opportunities and experiences at Bridgewater go way beyond the classroom, they are skills for life.”
