Bursary Appeal

The provision of bursaries (means-tested financial support for fees), is central to our shared vision of giving deserving young individuals access to the best education possible. Through our own bursary support scheme, currently funded solely through school funds, we are able to give talented children the opportunity to achieve their potential, regardless of circumstance.

The school provides financial assistance to around one hundred pupils every year. However, each year we receive more applications for bursary places than we can offer. Our aim is to be able to extend this further and offer more bursaries to children for whom a Bridgewater School education is a life-changing opportunity. With this in mind, our Bursary Appeal unapologetically asks for help from others who care as much about education as we do.

Join us in making a difference

During the last academic year, around 15% of our fee income was spent on funding assisted places, opening the doors of opportunity to over 100 pupils. If you share our vision and wish to help more children benefit from a Bridgewater education, please consider giving what you can. No matter what the size, every donation makes a real difference.

If you would like to support the Bridgewater School Bursary Appeal Fund, there are a number of ways you can give:

  • One-off  Gift – make a single donation
  • Regular Gift – set up a Standing Order or Direct Debit
  • Legacy Giving – leave a gift in your will
  • Corporate Giving – make a donation through your company.

All donations to the Bursary Appeal Fund will be added to the money invested annually by the school, to provide the income for our bursary support scheme and ensure more children have access to an education where individuals count.

To be yourself, to have the space and opportunity to develop your individual talent and personality within a nurturing school community, is the greatest freedom of all.
