Prep VI visit Stockport Air Raid Shelter

As part of the history study of Wartime Britain, our Prep VI children are learning about everyday life during the Second World War. The Stockport Air Raid Shelters are an excellent historical resource from which the children can learn much about how the war affected daily life in this country.

The visit will take place on Friday 23rd May. The class will travel by coach, leaving school after morning registration and returning in time for the end of the school day. A packed lunch will be provided. Children should bring their own refillable water bottle.

In order to make the visit more authentic, we would like the children to wear their WWII VE Day costumes, as if they are 1940s children.
