Year 12 Lancaster University trip
On Wednesday 17th January, as part of our Sixth Form enrichment programme, Year 12 students will be visiting Lancaster University for an Introduction to Higher Education experience with a targeted research session in the prestigious Ruskin Library – an essential skill for A Level and university. Any students who are considering completing an EPQ will also find this particularly useful.
We will travel by minibus, leaving school at 8.45am and returning by approximately 3.30pm. The four hour programme at the university has been specially designed for our Year 12 students and will include a tour of the campus, an introduction to Higher Education with a student panel and a library research skills session.
A packed lunch can be ordered from school, alternatively students may wish to purchase lunch from one of the many food outlets at Lancaster University. Students will be accompanied by Bridgewater staff throughout the day and have some free time to explore during the lunch break.
We hope that the students enjoy an enlightening day at the extremely popular Lancaster University, currently ranked 10th overall in the UK.
