PE

Sixth Form students who choose to study A Level PE at Bridgewater School will follow the AQA specification. In addition to the many hours of contact time per fortnight, students will study topics relating to physiology and anatomy, skill acquisition, sport and society, exercise physiology, biomechanical movement, sport psychology and the role of technology in physical activity and sport. Students will be assessed in one practical activity as a performer or coach.

Students have access to multiple sports facilities and also have the opportunity to participate with Year 11 extra-curricular activities and enjoy the ski and multi-sports trips to North America and Club La Santa, Lanzarote.

PE is a stepping stone to further sports-related courses and a wide range of careers including sports administration, teaching, coaching or pursuing an interest in sports science.

BTEC Sport Level 3 Extended Certificate available.

Our highly experienced teaching team is committed to bringing hidden talent and undiscovered potential out into the light.
