Karam Sandher

Karam Sandher, Class of 2018.

Currently studying for a Master’s in Quantity Surveying at the University of Salford following completion of his undergraduate studies in Building Surveying. Also a member of the Salford Snow Society. Karam joined Bridgewater in 2011 as a Senior School student, leaving in 2018 with A-level qualifications in History, Geography and Mathematics.

“I joined Bridgewater in 2011 and I can honestly say that it was the best decision I made. There are a wide range of clubs and societies that are tailored to all individuals such as; Debate Society, Amnesty International, Theatre as well as various sporting activities. Students have the privilege to go on trips like New York City, Lanzarote and Iceland, which are fantastic opportunities that cannot be missed.

The teaching staff at Bridgewater had a massive impact on my development, in particular the support that I received in Sixth Form which helped me to prepare myself for A-levels and in return I successfully earnt a place at my first choice university. At first it was difficult to balance the workload and social life of university, however the lessons I learnt during my time in Sixth Form, including the help and advice from guest speakers regarding how to manage my time effectively, have been invaluable.

I am currently studying Quantity Surveying at Salford University, working my way towards becoming a chartered building surveyor in the near future, which is what I want to achieve. Bridgewater was a huge part of my life for seven years and it has helped me to develop into what I am today. Bridgewater will not only help you to reach your goals, it will enable you to exceed them.”
