Neel Nichani, Class of 2020

Currently studying Medicine at the University of Sheffield. Neel joined Bridgewater from Lancaster Grammar School in 2019 and left in the summer of 2020 with three A-levels in Biology (A*), Chemistry (A) and Mathematics (A).

“My name is Neel Nichani and I am a first year medical student at the University of Sheffield. I attended Bridgewater School for one year where I re-sat my A-levels. Before joining I was slightly apprehensive about such a big change, however, Mrs Minta and the rest of the Sixth Form team really helped me to settle in as fast as possible.

Here, the teachers were always available to help me out with any problems that I had and were able to provide tailored and specific support for each student, enabled by the small class sizes. This really helped me to focus and improve both my academic and non-academic skills. In addition to this, the teachers’ expertise regarding the UCAS application process was evident and proved extremely helpful.

I really enjoyed my time in Bridgewater Sixth Form and will always be very grateful for the opportunities I was provided with.”

I will always be very grateful for the opportunities I was provided with.
