Iceland Trip 2024

As part of the school’s enrichment programme, we are excited for the opportunity to run a Women in Science and Engineering trip to Iceland in March 2024. We will be staying in Reyjavik, which will provide the students with an amazing opportunity to experience the variety of activities that Iceland has to offer.

The trip will run from 25th to 30th March 2024, flying from Manchester Airport to Keflavik International Airport.

Students will participate in a range of activities each day including visits to:

  • Reykjanes Peninsula to see the bridge between continents and Gunnuhvers Hot Springs
  • Natthagi Valley to see the lava flow
  • Geysir for a Golden Circle tour and visit to the Secret Lagoon
  • Seljalandsfoss to visit the waterfall
  • Solheimajokull glacier walk
  • Reynisfjara black beaches
  • Skogafoss waterfall
  • The Lava Tunnel
  • Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Station
  • Reykjavik City Centre

The trip is being organised through Discover the World Education, who have extensive experience in organising school trips.
