The Silver DofE Award prides itself on providing the opportunity for participants to take part in unique and exciting physical challenges. It has therefore been decided that the mode of transport for the Silver expedition will be cycling. Ahead of the expedition, students will take part in various training covering basic expedition principles and introducing them to expedition equipment. This includes a practice expedition to enable students to develop the necessary skills for safely using and maintaining a bike.

The date of the practice expedition will be Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th May 2025. (The qualifying expedition will take place in September 2025, date TBA).
