Music

The Eduqas Music A Level is a rigorous course with broad appeal that is designed to suit potential university or Conservatoire students, as well as engaging those who simply enjoy music. It provides learners with the opportunity to study music in an integrated way where the skills of performing, composing and appraising, reinforce knowledge and understanding of musical elements, contexts and language.

In addition, the department also offers a Level 3 Diploma in Performing Arts at Key Stage 5, a two year course of study tailored to the individual pupil’s strengths, whether that is performance, composition or academic study. The diploma focuses on establishing our students as a creative professional and can be studied in preparation for an undergraduate degree course.

An immersive A Level, Music can provide an important foundation for many career paths including music producer, performer, composer, music therapist and teacher.

BTEC course available.
