Year 11 Residential

Year 11 Ghyll Head residential 2022

We will be taking our Year 11 students on a residential activity and study skills trip to the Lake District from Monday 7th to Wednesday 9th November 2022. We will be staying at Ghyll Head Outdoor Centre situated near Lake Windermere, leaving school at 10.55am on 7th and returning at approximately 3.15pm on 9th, travelling by school minibus.

During our time in the Lake District we will be taking part in a mix of supervised outdoor activities as well as teacher led subject based revision/study skills sessions. Any outdoor activities will be supervised by fully qualified and insured outdoor activity specialists. The aim of the trip will be to prepare students for the expectations and requirements of Year 11. During the residential students will also take part in a number of activities and workshops including sessions to prepare for GCSE exams.

This is an excellent opportunity for our students to begin the extensive revision and study programme required for the examinations that take place at the end of the academic year. Students will receive a pack of resource materials as well as study skills techniques to use for their independent studies.
