Year 7 London trip 2025

A trip has been arranged to take Year 7 students to London on Thursday 22nd May, returning to school on Friday 23rd. The trip is intended to enhance elements of both the Year 7 History and English curriculum, which covers an introduction to Shakespeare’s London as well as our study of the Shakespearean comedy Much Ado About Nothing.

Itinerary

Thursday 22nd May

  • 9.35am – travel to London from Manchester Piccadilly train station (parents are expected to drop off their child at the train station at 9am)
  • 11.41am – arrive at London Euston
  • 12.30pm – Tower of London, lunch and self-guided tour
  • 4.30pm – boat to Bankside
  • 5pm – evening meal
  • 6.30pm – Much Ado About Nothing performance at Southwark Cathedral
  • 8.30pm – travel to YHA London Thameside

Friday 23rd May

  • 9am – tube travel to Westminster
  • 10am – visit to Parliament
  • 12.30pm – visit to Shakespeare’s Globe, tour and Much Ado About Nothing workshop
  • 2pm – lunch on the Southbank
  • 4.13pm – travel from Euston to Manchester Piccadilly
  • 6.20pm – arrive in Manchester
