Silver DofE practice expedition

The date of the Silver Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition for students is 15th to 16th June.

The basis of the practice expedition will be to provide training in both fitness and bike safety to students ahead of their Qualifying Expedition, which will take place in the Autumn Term.

Students will be asked to arrive at school on the date of their expedition in their expedition kit; these should be lightweight clothes appropriate for cycling with suitable footwear. They will need to arrive with their rucksacks pre-packed and their bikes in good working order, including helmets and required biking equipment. They will not need a method for carrying their luggage on their bikes for the practice expedition.

We ask students to arrive at school at 7am for a prompt departure to Dumfriesshire in Scotland. We will return to school at approximately 5pm on Friday 16th June.
