The annual Year 8 residential trip to the Opal Coast, France and Ypres in Belgium will take place in October 2024, departing on the evening of Monday 14th and returning the evening of Thursday 17th.

This trip will combine French culture and language with aspects of History, in particular World War I. Pupils will have the opportunity to tour the WWI cemeteries in Belgium, visit Hill 62 Memorial and walk through British trench systems in their original form. They will also be able to explore the old town of Boulogne, visit Nausicaa Sea World and sample some local cuisine.
